Day 1

At 09:00 in the morning, we depart from Yerevan. On the first day, we will visit Voskevaz Winery and Shunch / Aratashen Winery, discovering different approaches to Armenian winemaking. At each winery, a tasting of 2 standard wines and 1 reserve wine is included.

We will then visit Machanents House, where we will taste traditional Armenian dishes and experience an atmosphere shaped by Armenian culture, art and crafts.

At 17:00, we return to Yerevan.

Day 2

At 09:00 in the morning, we depart from Yerevan. We will visit Armenia Wine, one of the major centers of modern Armenian winemaking, followed by Van Ardi Winery, a family winery located in the volcanic landscape of Aragatsotn.

At both wineries, a tasting of 2 standard wines and 1 reserve wine is included. We will also have lunch at Van Ardi.

The cultural stop of the day will be Saghmosavank, a 13th-century monastery complex located on the edge of the Kasagh Gorge.

At 17:00, we return to Yerevan.

Itinerary

  At 09:00 in the morning, we depart from Yerevan for Voskevaz Winery. Founded in 1932, the winery offers an introduction to the history of Armenian winemaking, its production environment and the combination of traditional Armenian clay karases with modern technologies. The winery is also known for working with Armenian grape varieties and preserving the tradition of karas winemaking. We will take part in a tasting of 2 standard wines and 1 reserve wine. We will then continue to Shunch / Aratashen Winery in the village of Aratashen. Here we will discover the environment in which SHUNCH wines are produced and learn about the winery’s approach to winemaking. We will take part in a tasting of 2 standard wines and 1 reserve wine. Our next stop is Machanents House in Etchmiadzin. This cultural and social enterprise brings together traditional Armenian cuisine, art, crafts, museum spaces and cultural activities. Here we will taste traditional Armenian dishes and experience the distinctive atmosphere of the complex. At 17:00, we return to Yerevan.

At 09:00 in the morning, we depart from Yerevan for Armenia Wine. The winery combines Armenia’s ancient winemaking heritage with modern production technologies. During the visit, we will learn about different stages of wine production and the modern winemaking environment, followed by a tasting of 2 standard wines and 1 reserve wine. We will then visit Van Ardi Winery. Founded in 2008, this family winery is located in Aragatsotn, an area known for its volcanic soils. Van Ardi also works with indigenous Armenian grape varieties, and its vineyards are situated at an elevation of approximately 1,050 meters. We will explore the winery and vineyard environment, take part in a tasting of 2 standard wines and 1 reserve wine, and then have lunch. Our final stop of the day is Saghmosavank Monastery. Located on the edge of the Kasagh Gorge, this 13th-century monastery complex was also an important medieval center of manuscript writing and preservation. The monastery offers impressive views over the Kasagh Gorge. At 17:00, we return to Yerevan.

Yes. Winery visits also provide an opportunity to learn about Armenian winemaking history, grape varieties, production processes and wine culture without taking part in the tasting.

Photography is generally allowed in areas open to visitors. Some production, storage or private areas may have restrictions.

Some areas of the wineries, vineyards and the surroundings of Saghmosavank may include uneven surfaces or steps. If a guest has limited mobility, please inform us in advance so that the program can be adapted where possible.

Winery visits and wine tastings are organized by advance booking and depend on availability for the selected dates. If necessary, the order of visits may be slightly adjusted while maintaining the confirmed main itinerary and included services. Wine tastings are available only to guests of the legally permitted drinking age.
