Van Ardi Winery is a family wine estate in the volcanic highlands of Aragatsotn and one of the distinctive destinations associated with Armenia’s contemporary wine revival.

The winery was created in 2008 by Varuzhan Mouradian and his family after their return from Los Angeles to Armenia.

The estate was conceived not only as a place for producing wine but also as a space where vineyards, Armenian culture, music, food, art, and hospitality could come together.

Van Ardi works with Armenian grape varieties such as Areni and Voskehat and places strong emphasis on expressing the characteristics of its vineyards and volcanic environment.

The vineyards are managed with organic and biodynamic-inspired practices, while the winery follows a relatively low-intervention approach intended to preserve the natural characteristics of the grapes.

One of the unusual details of the estate is its relationship with music. Classical, Armenian, and jazz compositions are played around the vineyard and winery as part of the family’s philosophy and identity.

The estate also has a recognizable bell tower, which has become one of the visual symbols of Van Ardi.

Visitors can explore the vineyard and production areas through organized winery experiences and learn about the path from grape cultivation to finished wine.

Wine and food experiences form an important part of the estate, allowing visitors to connect local ingredients, Armenian grape varieties, and the landscape of Aragatsotn.

For photographers, Van Ardi offers rows of vines, volcanic soils, the bell tower, winery architecture, barrels, food presentation, sunset landscapes, and wide views across the surrounding highlands.
