Tour to Geghard – Symphony of Stones – Garni

We depart from Yerevan and make our first short stop at Charents Arch, where beautiful panoramic views of Mount Ararat and the surrounding landscape open before you.
We then continue to Garni Temple, one of Armenia’s most remarkable surviving monuments from the Hellenistic period. Standing on the edge of the Azat Gorge, the temple is known for its distinctive architecture and impressive views of the surrounding landscape.
Our journey continues to the Symphony of Stones, one of Armenia’s most unusual natural monuments, located in the Azat Gorge. Its massive and remarkably regular basalt columns resemble the pipes of a giant stone organ, creating an extraordinary landscape shaped by nature.
The next stop is Geghard Monastery, one of Armenia’s most important historical and cultural sites and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Several parts of the monastery complex are carved directly into the surrounding rock, creating a unique architectural and spiritual atmosphere.

Visit the Symphony of Stones, a natural monument in the Azat Gorge known for its impressive basalt columns. You will have time to walk through the gorge, experience the atmosphere of the area, and photograph the remarkable formations created by nature.
Visit Geghard Monastery, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Explore the main areas of the monastery complex, its rock-carved structures and courtyards, and experience the distinctive atmosphere of this ancient site.

Geghard is an active religious and historical site. We recommend wearing respectful and appropriate clothing while visiting the monastery. If your usual clothing is not suitable for visiting a religious site, we recommend bringing a light outer garment or covering that you can wear temporarily while inside the monastery grounds.
