The tour starts at 08:30 with departure from the guests’ hotel in Yerevan toward Lori Province.
The first stop is Sanahin, one of the important centers of Armenian medieval architecture, spiritual life, and education. For centuries, the complex played not only a religious role but also an important cultural and educational one.
We then visit the historic Sanahin Bridge, a medieval stone bridge built over the Debed River and an important part of Lori’s historic road heritage.
The journey continues to Haghpat Monastery, one of the notable centers of Armenian medieval architecture. Its stone churches, gavits, khachkars, and other structures reflect different periods of Armenian architectural and spiritual culture.
After Haghpat, we visit the Zarni-Parni cave-fortress complex, where natural caves and historic defensive structures come together in one setting, presenting another interesting layer of Lori’s history. Lunch is also arranged at Zarni-Parni, where guests will taste dishes from Armenian cuisine.
The next part of the day is dedicated to Akhtala. Here, the historic fortress and monastery complex combine defensive architecture with spiritual heritage, while the church of Akhtala is especially notable for its preserved frescoes.
At the end of the day, we return to Yerevan at approximately 18:00.

08:30 — Departure from the guests’ hotel in Yerevan and drive to Lori Province.
Visit to Sanahin Monastery, followed by the historic Sanahin Bridge.
Continue to Haghpat Monastery, one of the important medieval monastic complexes of northern Armenia.
After Haghpat, continue to the Zarni-Parni cave-fortress complex. Visit the site and enjoy lunch featuring dishes from Armenian cuisine.
The journey then continues to Akhtala, where we visit the historic monastery complex and fortress.
Approximately 18:00 — return to Yerevan.

The tour starts at 08:30 from the guests’ hotel in Yerevan. Return to Yerevan is approximately at 18:00. The route includes travel to northern Armenia and relatively long driving sections during the day. The visit to Zarni-Parni and lunch there are arranged in advance and are subject to availability on the selected date. The order of visits may be adjusted if necessary while preserving the confirmed main itinerary. Departure time may change depending on the season and operational conditions of the program. Guests will be informed in advance if any change is required.
