Voskevaz Winery is one of the long-established wine producers of Aragatsotn and an important destination for travelers interested in the revival of Armenian winemaking.

The winery is located in Voskevaz village, an area where vineyards, medieval heritage, and the volcanic landscapes of Aragatsotn form a natural setting for wine production.

The history of the winery begins in 1932. A new stage in its development started in the early 2000s, when production was modernized while greater attention was also given to traditional Armenian winemaking practices.

One of the most distinctive features of Voskevaz is the combination of contemporary winery equipment with traditional karases, large clay vessels historically used in Armenia for fermenting and storing wine.

The estate works primarily with Armenian grape varieties, allowing visitors to discover wines shaped by local grapes and the terroir of different Armenian vineyard areas.

Armenian oak is also used in the maturation of selected wines, adding another local component to the production process.

The architecture and atmosphere of the estate draw strongly on Armenian historical motifs. Stone structures, cellars, arches, traditional vessels, and vineyard surroundings create an experience that connects modern production with older cultural references.

Voskevaz has developed wine-tourism activities that can include visits to the winery, introductions to production, and organized tastings.

The winery can be combined with nearby Oshakan, Saint Hovhannes Church of Voskevaz, Agarak Archaeological Site, and other landmarks of the Ashtarak area.

For photographers, the estate offers stone architecture, wine cellars, karases, barrels, vineyards, production spaces, and seasonal agricultural landscapes.
