Mount Yeranos is located in Armenia’s Ararat Region, on one of the southwestern branches of the Geghama mountain massif. Standing at 1,827 m above sea level, the summit is known for its colorful rock formations, reddish slopes, and impressive mountain panoramas.
The Yeranos mountain range stretches along the left bank of the Azat River toward the Ararat Plain. The area is characterized by semi-desert and dry mountain-steppe landscapes, open slopes, and distinctive rock formations.
During the ascent, participants will discover the mountain landscapes of Yeranos. From the summit, panoramic views open up toward Mount Ararat, Mount Aragats, the Geghama Mountains, and Azat Reservoir. The colorful rocks and expansive mountain views offer excellent opportunities for nature and landscape photography.
Hiking gear and hiking boots are mandatory.
