Old Bridge Winery is a family-owned boutique winery in Yeghegnadzor, founded by the Khalatyan family in 1998. It belongs to the generation of small producers that helped shape the modern revival of quality winemaking in Vayots Dzor while remaining closely connected with family vineyards and local hospitality.

The winery works particularly with Areni for red wines and Voskehat for white wines. Production remains relatively small in scale, allowing the family to focus closely on grape quality and individual vintages rather than industrial volume.

Visitors can combine a winery and vineyard experience with guided tastings in the family’s tasting space. Depending on the season and arrangements, experiences may include vineyard visits, local food pairings and aspects of grape harvesting or winemaking. The family also operates accommodation and dining connected with the winery, giving Old Bridge the character of a broader rural wine experience rather than simply a production facility.

The name refers to the historic stone bridge near Yeghegnadzor, traditionally known as Sur Kamurj or the Sharp Bridge, which once belonged to the old travel network through the Arpa Valley. This connection gives the winery a natural link with the Silk Road history and cultural landscape of Vayots Dzor.

For photography, Old Bridge combines several layers of the region’s wine story: vineyards, bottles and cellar details, family hospitality and the dry mountains surrounding Yeghegnadzor. During harvest, agricultural activity adds another strong visual dimension.
